This variation of apfelwein turned out great. People have already started asking my what I want for Christmas so I thought I would add stuff to my home brew equipment since I just started brewing. Bent Tree Brewing Company Leave no beer behind.
I will dip them in star san right before I fill it with brew. It is a wet process but it gives me peace of mind. I just placed my order. Also added 2 lbs of brown sugar to increase the ABV.
I put the juice in the brew pot and heated to 160 to kill off the wild yeast. I ran our little gas heater on low even when I was not at home. I checked the temperature of the brew every 30 minutes or so.
